The School Color Run is in need of volunteers for color zones, water stations, course trackers, registration, and more!
Students, parents and friends will walk, jog and run their way toward a healthier life while being doused in color and raising funds for Admiral Farragut Academy on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
The My School Color Run will feature a 1.75 mile route on Admiral Farragut Academy’s campus and so far we have 70 registered runners!
Throughout the course participants will experience color splash zones where you’ll be doused in color! Please be aware there will be no color allowed to be tossed near the Track.
Registration:
- This is an untimed fun run so ALL ages are welcome.
- Open to the public.
- If you did not pre-register, registration is $45 and can be paid for with cash or check on the day of the run.

Event Attendee Details:
- Saturday, April 16, 2016
- Check in starts at 8:30am
- Run begins at 9:00am, two groups will start at different times
- 9:00am – 4th grade will lead first start group
- 9:15am – PreK will lead second start group
- 10:00-10:15am – Color Run Countdown, assemble in front of Farragut Hall (West Grinder) with DJ and everyone throws their color packets in the air at the same time. Be ready to dance!
- 10:15am-11:20am – DJ dance party, games and face painting, and lunch provided.
Admiral Farragut Academy Parents’ Group will keep 100% of ALL donations and sponsorships received and will use the funds towards school events or needed items.
Event Volunteer Details:
- Registration and parking volunteers please arrive at 7am to help with table assembly for vendors and also guide traffic as everyone arrives.
- Color zone, water stations, and course tracker volunteers please arrive by 8:30am. We will need you to be in place by 8:55am.
- Volunteers please stick around and help with breaking down the event and helping clean up.
- Volunteers needed for cheer zones as well to pump up runners as they go by!
- If anyone can donate games like bags/cornhole, jump ropes, Norwegian golf, etc please contact parentsgroup@farragut2.org.
