Planning is in full force and programs are really starting to take shape. With so many moving parts, I thought it would be important to provide a quick update on what is going on in the busy month of November.
First up, the Poinsettia Sale. Place your order by our new extended deadline November 16, 2018, and you can pick them up November 29 & 30 in the West Lounge. These beautiful plants make a great gift for clients, neighbors, teachers, and your favorite mailman! It will also help get fundraising going for this school year.
Next in line is the Golf Tournament on November 16, 2018, starting at 7:30 am. Because this is a half-day of school, aftercare will be available for enrolled Lower School students who have parents playing in or volunteering for the Golf Tournament. Lunch will be provided for all aftercare students. Please email parentsgroup@farragut2.org to reserve aftercare for this event.
Lastly, our next meeting is scheduled for November 7, 2018, from 8:15-9:00 a.m. in the Mess Hall. This meeting will cover the details of the November fundraising efforts and organizing volunteers to execute these programs. We will also be discussing volunteer organization and auction/benefit planning. We will also discuss updates on social activities, campus beautification, the farmers market, and our action plan for the start of 2019! I hope you all can join us on the 7th! If you are not able to attend, we will have minutes available on Google Docs that you can access. That information will follow shortly after the meeting.
Our immediate needs are the following:
- Volunteers to help pass out the Poinsettias on delivery day
- Corporate sponsors and golfers for the Golf Tournament – please tell your friend!
- Volunteers on the day of the Golf Tournament to help all our golfers have a great experience! If you cannot participate but would like to donate, that would be appreciated as well!
- Volunteers to help out with the Lucky Bag.
